ESUMA
ESUMA is a concertation table that supports school perseverance and educational success through the mobilization of stakeholders and the development of concerted initiatives aimed, among other things, at increasing the graduation and qualification of Nunavimmiut. It also raises awareness among all Nunavik residents about the importance of their contribution to educational success. Lastly, ESUMA is a funding program dedicated to supporting projects that encourage learners to stay in school, graduate from high school and pursue higher levels of education.

IVIRTIVIK
Devoted especially to the Inuit community, the Ivirtivik project is an employability and skills development initiative for Inuit 18 years and older. The idea for Ivirtivik took root in Verdun, a southern borough of Montreal, and embraces the vision of helping participants to connect to the community through concreate activities that combine their values, talents and preferences. The project is available in Montreal.

Pijunnaqunga
Pijunnaqunga, or “I can do it” in Inuktitut, is an internship program that aims to empower young Inuit from Nunavik to develop their skills through hands on work experience. The program includes in-depth interviews, an intensive training session, plus paid internships in Nunavik organizations with a firm mentoring support.
Pijunnaqunga intends to offer internship opportunities that could lead to significant positions within Nunavik Regional Organizations, in order to encourage the development of the next generation of Nunavimmiut leaders.

Kautaapikkut
The mining sector in Nunavik is overseen by the Kautaapikkut Strategy Table whose mission is to dramatically increase Inuit representation in the local mining workforce, prioritizing women and youth.
The Kautaapikkut Strategy Table is a collection of Inuit and industry partner organizations working collaboratively and strategically to support Inuit training and employment in the Nunavik mineral sector.
The Table focuses on using innovative approaches to support Inuit career development, identify and address barriers and continuously improve on-the-ground services. Kautaapikkut Partners include the Kativik Regional Government, Makivik Corporation, Nunavik Landholding Corporation Association, Nunavik Mineral Exploration Fund, Kativik Ilisarniliriniq, Glencore and CRI.
